Awarding of the Marine Special Operator Insignia carries with it the designation of “Marine Raider” thereby perpetuating the distinguished legacy of the Marine Raiders during the Second World War. The MSOI was created to be able to identify the Raiders at the Marine Special Operations Command, but for some reason, the official version left a clear gap where the Raider Skull belonged. Now corrected, the MSOI is complete with the Eagle, Skull, and Dagger.
